Yoga in
Schools
Yoga is an inner &
outer massage helping one to
enhance awareness,
achieve flexibility, balance the body & feel
good.
This
noncompetitive form of exercise creates rejuvenation to the body helping
children to physically unwind from a
long day of doing school work.
Yoga is a wonderful tool to harmonize the mind,
body & spirit & an opportunity
to do something different in a structured
environment while
stretching the body & expanding the mind.
This ancient practice allows the children to
“sense the self” mentally & physically
letting go of stress embracing
relaxation. Self renewal is achieved through
yoga postures, breathing techniques, chanting,
meditation & deep relaxation
allowing children to be present.
Practicing yoga lets children be aware of
personal expression & exploration while
fully in the moment experiencing the
self. Being present is the gift.
